At Roseburg, the Panther Girls Soccer team erupted for three goals in three minutes of the second half to complete the sweep with Roseburg for the season. After a scoreless first half in which the Panthers dominated play with eleven shots to Roseburg’s one, senior Emily Ingledew broke the ice with a finish off senior Rainie Dabbs’ cross in front of the goal in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, senior goalkeeper Jaeda Boutwell sent a long punt over the heads of all but three players. Off one bounce, junior Bella Bottero collected the ball on the run and put a shot past the Roseburg goalkeeper for the second score. In the 56th minute, senior mid Riley Fox split defenders with a perfect pass to Dabbs who made it 3 – 0 with a quick run and an accurate shot finishing the scoring. Goalkeeper Jaeda Boutwell earned the shutout for the Panthers as well as earning the assist on the 2nd goal.
This wraps up the regular season with the Panther Girls winning the conference title with 8 wins, 0 losses and 1 tie. In the process, the Panthers scored 35 goals for and allowed only 3 goals against for the entire season. The top standing in the league earns the girls the number 1 seed in the culminating tournament starting Tuesday, April 6 through Saturday April 10.
