The sun was shining as 62 South Medford boys and girls competed in the 80th annual Medford Rotary Relays at North Medford yesterday. The South boys placed 2nd in the 18 team school competition and the girls placed 6th. The Boys placed in the top 8 in 9 events while the girls had 8 top 8 finishes.

The boys 110 High Hurdle Shuttle Relay team of Trevor Foster, Jared Buckman, & James Duane took first and in this unique event posting the fastest shuttle hurdle time for South Medford ever. The boys also took home ribbons in the following events:

2nd place DMR (Distance Medley Relay 1200, 400, 800, 1600)
Truett Bostwick, Austin Boster, Reed Hungerford, Tanner Sayers
4th place 4×400 Relay: CJ Wisely, Brinson Scott, Daniel Johnson, & Tomas Kopriva
5th place 4×800 Relay: Mason Henrie, Adam Cannon, Josue Ledezma, & Conner SInger
1500m run: 2nd place Michael Maiorano

300 Intermediate Hurdles: 3rd place Reujhaun Sharrer

The girls took 6th in the 18 team division. Our girl hurdlers shines as well taking home the first place ribbon in the 100m shuttle hurdle relay of Phoebe Larson, McKenna Prince & Morgan Burke. The girls also captured top 8 finishes in the following events:
4×100 relay: 3rd place Morgan Burke, Emma Schmerbach, Alyssa Brown, Toni Coleman
4×400 relay: 8th place Caitlin Fugate, Emily Nash, Lottie Dillard, Jasmine Sweitzer
4×800 relay: 4th place Riley Fox, Emily Ingledew, Sydney Beers, Hannah Beers
DMR (1200, 400, 800, 1600) 2nd place: Gabi Wisnovsky, Emma Schmerbach, Caitlin Fugate, Emily Nash
