Dead Week for Athletics (Aug. 31st – Sept. 11th)

Panthers, The Medford School District will shut down all athletics from August 31st to September 11th. With Comprehensive Distance Learning starting Sept 8th, an academic focus will be our top priority. We are determined and look forward to getting students-athletes safely back into Panther athletics. A Tribute to South Medford Spring Senior Athletes

In a season that really never got going doing to the pandemic of COVID-19, we pay tribute to our senior athletes.  Thank you for all that you have done to contribute to the athletic program at South Medford High School.   Good Luck to you in your future endeavors. This tribute is for you:    

Be The Light – Friday Night Lights

Partnering with many schools around the state, the Medford School District is lighting Spiegelberg Stadium on Friday nights beginning at 20:20pm (8:20) for 2o minutes in honor of our graduating class of 2o2o.  Please drive by and check it out (can’t get out of cars, must maintain social distancing).  

Snowboard Team – State Championships

Recently the Medford (consisting of both North and South Medford athletes) competed at the state championships.  The Southern League of the Oregon Interscholastic Snowboard Association consists of 2 teams – one from Ashland and the other from Medford. This year the Medford team consisted of riders from South and North but has had riders from

COVID-19 Spring Sport Update – March 19th, 2020

Hello Panther Families – Due the COVID-19 outbreak and direction from the Governor, the Oregon Health Authority, and the OSAA,  all spring sports practices and contests have been suspended until at least April 28th. At this time, we are unsure of what will happen after that date.  We are only looking as far forward as

South Medford Boys Basketball Seniors

SM Football Players commit to College Football

James Duane and Toren Tuttle have committed to play football at the next level. Toren has committed to play for Shasta Junior College and James for Western Oregon State College
