Panthers News · Frosh Football Finishes at So Umpqua 14-18

The Panther frosh team traveled to South Umpqua to play their junior varsity to complete their season after 8 months of practice and a limited schedule due to available competition.  South Medford trailed 0-12 at the half and took a 14-12 lead.   The first touchdown was scored on a Ryder Scheid run and Colby Schwartz added the second touchdown. Makani Manuwai had a solid defensive game.  Kyle Cope helped the Panther defense with an interception and good tackling.  Also stepping up on defense were Aramis Schulter, Alex Varner, Ryder Scheid, Tanner Tuggle and Kaleb Long. So Umpqua rallied for a td and 18-14 lead with 48 seconds left and took the win for a split this season.
