Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball Teams Pick up Road Wins at Ashland

The South Medford volleyball teams picked up wins by all three teams on Monday night in Ashland.  JV and JV2 each won 2-0.  The varsity won 3-1.  In the first set they won 25-11 and then 25-17 in the second.  Ashland won the third 25-12 but South Medford rallied 25-23 in the fourth set.  Senior Evelyn Laupola had 8 kills and 4 blocks along with 9 digs. Senior Amanda Drane added 26 digs and 2 aces. Sophomore Katie Clevenger has 12 kills, 6 digs and 2 blocks while Sophomore Tess Wente had 8 kills on 9 attempts. Senior Kiya Jackson added 7 kills and 3 blocks in the 8th victory of the season for the Panthers and the sweep of Ashland this season.  The Panthers improved to 8-2 in the league and will finish regular season play on Tuesday, April 6 hosting Grants Pass at 6:45 on Table Rock Sports.
