The South Medford Volleyball team will host their last regular season match of the season as Grants Pass comes to town on Tuesday, April 6. The game is scheduled for a 6:45 start on Table Rock Sports. The Panthers have turned around their program with an 8-2 conference record this season. The team has picked up sweeps of Roseburg and Ashland while splitting with Crater and North. They have posted a winning season which had been missing at South for a while. The seniors will be honored on Tuesday night and their moto could be they can adapt. They have navigated through covid shut downs and changes throughout the year. They also have adapted to program changes as Robin Akpan took over the program this season and is the third coach the seniors have worked under. The Panthers feature 6 players over 6 feet tall which means the South Medford defense is stopping their opponents at the net. The Panthers are also putting their height to work on the offensive side as the extra length helps on a great fire power attacking game at the net.
